Whilst insurance for mobility scooter users is not yet compulsory, as it is for motor car and motor bike users, we recommend that customers insure against claims, as they do for other vehicles.
In these "compensation culture" days, unrealistic sums are often claimed for the smallest of perceived injuries - and insurance for these vehicles is very cheap!
We have found that the policies offered by Mark Bates are comprehensive and easy to understand. Scooters must be secure at night, but can be left for up to one hour, as long as the key is removed, whilst you are out shopping (if necessary). Other companies do not permit this, and insist that the scoter is chained! Please contact us and we will send you more details.
